Clare from Lewisham is in favour of road pricing because “The current methods of charging are overly complicated and the system is pretty much broken! Road pricing makes this simple – the more you drive the more you pay – and directly incentivises reduced driving in a way that other schemes don’t.” Clare is concerned that “public transport in south London is not as good as north London so yet again south London would be penalised (we already pay more because our fares are covered by national rail not TfL).”
